These cute little cars seat two people, and because they are made by Mercedes they aren't as cheap as you might think. A Smart will be available in the US in 2005 or 2006, but it's the "smart forfour", which can't be nearly as cute.
You'll see these parked perpendicular in parallel parking areas, but I didn't get a photo of that.
